Stand by for action

Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith, has put up for sale her 15.9% of shares in Arsenal football club. This will most likely prompt a bidding war between the two largest shareholders Stan Kroenke (29.98%) and Alisher Usmanov (26.29%). The most significant issue will be that a club that for so long has been run by a Board of Directors/share holders will potentially result in one of the above tycoons owning the entire stockholding, enabling them to do pretty much what they please. Is that a good or bad thing? I don’t really know. Yankee or Uzbeki? Does it really make a difference?  I don’t know. How much of an impact on the playing side of the club will it have? I can’t be sure. Is this the way forward and will the club be better off in the long run? Again I can’t be certain. I could go on but essentially there will be a period of uncertainty and unrest.  The only thing that we can be sure of, is that time will tell and that another chapter in Arsenal long, illustrious history is about to start. Here’s hoping our winning traditions and financial stability do not suffer as a consequence.

when juxtaposing USA and Uzbekistan one could say that culture can be described as historically created designs for living, explicit and implicit, rational, irrational, and nonrational, which exist at any given time …
